Nervous about your first session? Here is exactly what happens.
Not the vague version. The actual order of events, from the days before to the week after.
Before you come
Eat something. Not a heavy meal, but do not arrive empty.
Wear what you can be comfortable in. Layers help, since your body temperature will shift as you settle.
Warm socks. This sounds small and it is not. The body cools when it lets go, and cold feet pull attention away from everything else.
Have a way home that does not require you to rush. If you can leave the hour after the session unscheduled, do.
Bring water.
And if anything changes with your health or your medication between booking and the session, tell me. Not to screen you out. Because it changes how I work with you.
Arriving and sitting down
You will not be asked to lie down straight away.
We sit down first. The room is quiet. Nothing is expected of you for the first few minutes. You do not have to perform being ready.
[One or two sentences here about what the room is actually like. The light, the table, whether there is music. This is the part only you can describe, and it is what settles people.]
The conversation that comes first
Before anything happens on the table, we talk.
What brought you here. What you have already tried. What you are hoping for, and what you are quietly afraid of. How you sleep. What your body has been through. What is in your body right now, in the way of medication or anything else.
This is not small talk before the real work. This is the work deciding how it will go.
Then the work
You are on the table, fully clothed, with a blanket over you.
I work with what your system is showing me that day rather than running a fixed sequence. Pressure and pace are yours to name at any point.
If something does not feel right, saying so is not interrupting me. It is part of the session.
The silence
There will be long stretches where nothing is said.
That is deliberate. Silence is where people finally notice what they have been carrying. I do not fill it, because my discomfort is not a reason for you to talk.
Closing and grounding
We finish slowly. You sit up when you are ready and not before.
We check in on what you noticed. You leave steady enough to drive, which is the standard I hold to. If you are not, we stay until you are.
The days after
Tired is normal. Tender is normal. Strange dreams, an old memory surfacing, a flat day with no explanation, all normal.
Water, food, rest, gentle movement. Try not to put something demanding immediately after.
Write down anything that came up. Bring it with you next time. What happens in the days after is usually where the real information is.
What it takes
It starts with a free thirty minute discovery call, so you can ask me anything and I can tell you honestly whether this is a fit.
Your first session runs up to two and a half hours and is $225.
